Hello,

We have again seen a large number PHP processes spawning just from your site alone, and as it was severe to cause all other sites on the server to be unavailable we had to temporarily disable your site. Whenever a PHP process is spawned, it should close shortly there after. In this case, the PHP processes were spawned and never released, thus building up many processes that would not close, therefore severely hindering the ability for the server to process any other requests made on the server. In a shared environment, this is not acceptable and will need to be addressed as your site caused severe problems in resource usage.

The main script that appears to be causing this issue is \inetpub\arabsboard\forums\search.php

We need you to troubleshoot what is causing these PHP processes to be spawned and resolve the issue. Please keep us updated through this ticket, and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.

I spoke with our server team and they said that your forum software simply can't handle the traffic. Your traffic has gone way up this week which is what's spawning all those processes.
Your hits quadrupled this week, with traffic from Saudi Arabia suddenly accounting for over 75% of the page views.

One other option would be to disable the search page and also block the 212.138.47.x IP range, which would block traffic from Saudi because it appears that there is a proxy there that handles all of the traffic from Saudi.
Basically the best bet is to go with another forum software that can handle this kind of traffic, another option would be to go with a dedicated server plan.

So basically to get the site backup you would need to either disable the forum and put up a splash page explaining they will be down until another forum can be added, Disable the search page for the forum and block the above IP range which would basically block all of Saudi Arabia, or go to a dedicated server option.
