I am proud to announce the availability of the first public Support Toolkit package.

Over the past two years, the Support Team has identified some of the most common issues presented by administrators. The Support Toolkit provides a simple means of identifying and solving these common problems without the need to directly modify the database or run separate unverified scripts.

The simple installation (just upload the files) and modular framework make this tool ideal for new phpBB administrators as well as seasoned coders who may wish to expand the tool-set offered.

This Toolkit also represents the first joint venture between the Support Team and a member of the community. Special thanks to Erik Fr?rejean and EXreaction for taking the initiative to make this possible.

We would like to remind everyone that because this is a Release Candidate, the Toolkit should not yet be suggested as a means of fixing problems presented by users in the Support Forum. Those of you who are comfortable with using unreleased software are welcome to test this package and provide feedback.

Tools
The STK ships with a set of tools pre installed. In the latest version the pre installed tools are:
Support tools

This category contains tools that perform support related tasks.

• Auto Cookies: Allows you to change the cookie settings.
• Database Cleaner: Allows you to reset certain parts of your phpBB board's database to its original setup (remove modifications).
• Duplicate permissions: Removes duplicate permissions which can break the auth system.
• Fix Left/Right ID's Repairs the tree structure of the forums and modules.
• Recreate Module Management: Recreates the Module Management modules in the ACP in case they where removed (the modules that allow you to add/change/remove other modules).
• Reclean Usernames: Resets the username_clean entries in the users table.
• Reset Styles: Allows you to set the board and user defaults to a specific style.
• Sanitise Anonymous user: Reset the anonymous user to its correct state.
  
  Admin tools
  
  This category contains tools that can help an administrator maintain his board.
• Profile List: An advanced memberlist which allows you to easily filter users.
• Purge cache: Purge the boards cache
• Reparse BBCode: Reparses the BBCode for the board's posts.
• Run SQL Query: Allows you to run an SQL query on your database and view the results.
  
  User/Group tools
  
  This category contains tools that perform user or user group related tasks.
• Add user: Allows you to easily add new users to the board.
• Change password: Allows you to change a password for a user.
• Make founder: Allows you to set a user as a board founder.
  
  Emergency tools
  
  The STK contains some tools to provide emergency repairs on the phpBB3 system under some events automatically. These emergency repairs will only happen if something critical to initializing phpBB3 has failed.
• Rebuild config.php: If the phpBB config file is missing the STK will show you a screen that you can use to re-create the config file.
• Reset style: If the STK sees that there is no style set it will try to install a style that is available on the file system.
